Crane Service Technician

American Equipment HR LLC (AmQuip) seeks a Crane Service Technician Level 1 to support crane inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. In this entry-level field role, you'll assist senior technicians with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting, perform routine service tasks, and document work clearly. You'll work in a safety-focused, team-oriented environment, receive hands-on technical training, and help ensure cranes operate reliably and meet strict safety standards on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and basic repairs on mobile and tower cranes under supervision
• Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical crane systems
• Conduct routine lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements in accordance with safety and service standards
• Document service activities, inspection findings, and parts used accurately and timely
• Support crane setup, tear-down, and load testing following OSHA and company procedures
• Use hand and power tools, test equipment, and diagnostic tools safely and correctly
• Communicate equipment status and safety concerns to supervisors, operators, and customers
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements on job sites
