We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class A CDL Truck Driver to support our construction operations by transporting materials, equipment, and machinery to and from job sites. This role requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and experience operating heavy‑duty trucks in a construction environment. The ideal candidate is punctual, detail‑oriented, and committed to maintaining safety and compliance on the road and at job sites.
Key Responsibilities- Operate dump trucks, flatbeds, lowboys, and other commercial vehicles to transport construction materials and equipment.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment or assist with manual loading/unloading.
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips, reporting any issues or needed repairs.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and inspection reports.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Assist with securing loads using chains, straps, or tarps as needed.
- Communicate with dispatchers, site supervisors, and crew members to coordinate deliveries.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and assist with equipment mobilization when required.
- Valid CDL Class
A. - Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in construction or heavy equipment transport.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
- Familiarity with construction job sites and material handling.
- Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, or other loading equipment is a plus.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for pre‑trip inspections and minor repairs.
- Setting: Outdoor construction sites, highways, and urban/rural roads.
- Conditions: Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and heavy equipment.
- Hazards: Requires strict adherence to safety protocols to avoid injury from traffic, equipment, or load handling.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.
- Frequent climbing in and out of trucks.
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
- Manual dexterity for securing loads and operating equipment.
May include early mornings, long shifts, overtime, and weekend work depending on project timelines and weather conditions.
