You will welcome customers, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met. Your daily responsibilities may vary by department and will include listening, answering questions, and organizing merchandise.
Key Responsibilities- Welcome customers to Lowe’s, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service.
- Assist customers with locating and handling merchandise.
- Down‑stock merchandise by identifying empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies.
- Process orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time.
- Cross‑functionally train in other store areas to help deliver the best customer service.
- Prepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds).
- Guide customers through shopping or checkout.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- 6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
- 6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets.
- Reading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction).
- Able to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
- Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without an accommodation.
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience.
- Bi‑lingual skills.
- Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, or lumber/building materials).
This role does not require regular travel; however, it may need occasional travel to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working ConditionsEnvironmental factors vary by location. Employees may work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty environments. Exposure to noise and moving or shaking objects and equipment may occur. Lifting methods vary; associates must follow guidelines limiting single lifts to 75 lbs, use team lifts for heavier loads, and employ powered equipment with proper training and assistance.
PayPay Range: $18.00 – $18.75 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors such as position offered, location, education, training, and experience.
