In this position, you will manage the Lands and Resources Department, ensuring adherence to land use agreements and federal legislation. Your strategic planning will help set objectives and implement initiatives that reflect LSCFN’s heritage and values. You'll actively liaise with Chief and Council while engaging the community in all activities related to fish, wildlife, and heritage preservation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement strategic goals for the department
• Manage budgets related to lands and resources
• Engage with the community on heritage and resource matters
• Recruit and evaluate department staff for effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with territorial and federal regulations
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in related field or equivalent experience
• Solid understanding of LSCFN’s agreements and legislation
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Valid class 5 Driver’s License
• Knowledge of Dän K’i Traditional Values
Drive effective community engagement and resource management as the Lands and Resources Director for LSCFN.
