Position Summary:
Senior General Facilities Maintenance Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing commercial food equipment, executing preventative maintenance, training store associates, and ensuring safety and operational efficiency across Walmart stores.

- Maintain and repair facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record; able to pass an MVR report.
- Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years’ experience in one of plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trades, or 7 years’ experience in one of these trades.
- 1 year’s experience using intermediate‑level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
- Can lift up to 75 lbs.
- Can move up and down ladders frequently.
- Comfortable working at heights frequently.
- Option 1:
Vocational or technical certification and 3 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. - Option 2: 6 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
- License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
- Ability to read and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five years.
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years.
- No serious traffic violations as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
- Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software.
