Position: Travel Physical Therapist - $1,946 per week

Job Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing‑Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 26‑week assignment in Gladstone, Oregon.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history.
  • Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
  • Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise and manual therapy to improve mobility and reduce pain.
  • Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities.
  • Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
  • Engage in quality assurance and professional development activities.
  • Participate in discharge planning and transition follow‑up.
  • Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Proficiency in PC skills.
  • Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, bend.
  • Interpersonal skills to work with diverse personnel.
  • Technical/motor skills for fine manipulation and equipment use.
  • Mental resilience to handle frequent public contact and deadlines under pressure.
  • Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
  • Physical therapy experience; new graduates welcome.
  • Additional certifications or licenses.
Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication.
  • Strong patient care and clinical skills.
Compensation

Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend.
