We are looking for an Accounts Graduate to join our team. As a Trainee Accountant you will provide support to both internal staff and external clients. Part of your role will involve assisting in the day‑to‑day financial activities, these will include but are not limited to data entry, month end VAT Returns and accounts preparation and year‑end financial accounts and tax returns.

As an Accounts Graduate your role will involve:

  • Bookkeeping and date processing in accounts software, such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks etc.
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Assist with the preparation of accounts
  • Liaison with clients to build a rapport on an ongoing basis when completing work
  • Carrying out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations
  • Ensuring completed work is accurate and professionally presented to senior members of staff.
  • Be responsible for helping to service clients and keeping clients up to date on the progress of jobs, helping to resolve queries effectively and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • To undertake other tasks as required by senior staff which are required to either enhance client service or improve working practices.

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have completed a relevant degree (minimum 2:1)
  • You will possess good communication, administration and organisational skills.
  • You must be a flexible team player.
