Role Summary
The Manager – Logistics Operations Performance & Analytics drives operational excellence in distribution and logistics by leveraging data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration. The role partners with logistics leadership to develop models for continuous improvement, analyze market trends, validate invoices, and prepare comprehensive reports to ensure logistics operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with business goals.
Responsibilities- Lead efforts to optimize distribution and logistics processes through data-driven analysis and strategic collaboration.
- Partner with logistics leadership to develop models for operational improvement and enhance efficiency.
- Develop and maintain analytical models, produce detailed operational reports, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions to optimize logistics and distribution.
- Analyze market and performance trends to identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost efficiency.
- Build and oversee processes for validating third-party invoices, cross-referencing contracts, and investigating discrepancies, coordinating resolutions.
- Prepare detailed reports and provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making.
- Utilize product classifications and forecasts to estimate operational needs and support strategic planning for logistics and distribution.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures and process improvements within logistics and distribution operations.
- Partner with sales, purchasing, supply chain, and other operational teams to drive enhancements, cost allocation, and metric tracking.
- Analyze market and operational trends to provide insights on cost efficiency, performance, and overhead analysis for shipping points and trading partners.
- Collaborate across multiple departments to align logistics operations with business goals.
- Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance logistics processes.
- Mentor and guide a team of logistics analysts to ensure high-quality analysis and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies in logistics operations.
- Required:
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field - Required:
5+ years of proven experience in operational analysis, preferably within a distribution, logistics, or supply chain environment - Preferred:
Demonstrated knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and supply chain management - Preferred:
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices - Preferred:
Familiarity with SAP Business Tools, Microsoft Office Suite, Coupa, JDE, and Manhattan Active software
