JOB TITLE:

INSTRUCTIONAL COACH (Elementary)

REPORTS TO:

DIRECTOR OF INSTRUCTION

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

The Instructional Coach will be a certified school teacher with teaching experience and holding, at minimum, a Rank II / Master's Degree. The successful candidate will possess a demonstrated capacity for training others, utilizing a variety of instructional strategies and other "tools" to build the program consistent with the Kentucky Academic Standards; is respected by colleagues as knowledgeable and helpful; and is available to implement a work calendar that involves extended days beyond the regular school term.

The Instructional Coach will not have an assigned classroom or routine staff assignments to assure and facilitate their role, which is to be consistently available to the teachers of the school for training, demonstrations, development, and planning.
