Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Teacher to join our Temple Hill Elementary family! This full‑time position offers the opportunity to inspire young learners, foster a love of learning, and make a meaningful impact on students' academic and personal development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, skilled in classroom management, and committed to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities- Instruction & Curriculum
:
Develop and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned lessons across core subject areas such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. - Student Assessment
:
Regularly assess student progress through formative and summative assessments; use data to inform instructional decisions and differentiate learning. - Classroom Management
:
Establish and maintain a positive, organized, and respectful classroom environment that supports academic and social‑emotional growth. - Parent Communication
:
Maintain regular, professional communication with families regarding student progress, behavior, and academic needs. - Collaboration
:
Work effectively with colleagues, specialists, and support staff to ensure student success and implement school initiatives. - Professional Development
:
Participate in professional learning opportunities and stay current with best practices in elementary education. - Inclusive Learning
:
Support the needs of diverse learners, including students with IEPs and English Language Learners, with appropriate accommodations and modifications. - Extracurricular Involvement
:
Participate in school events, field trips, and other activities that enrich the student experience.
- Valid state teaching certification or licensure in elementary education (or equivalent).
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Current background check clearance (or willingness to complete).
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
