Join our dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Solutions team as an Associate Lead Design Engineer - Water in our rapidly growing Glasgow office – whilst also taking advantage of our flexible hybrid working model.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Lead the design process across all project stages, from concept to completion.
• Support project setup and planning, identifying resource needs and technical requirements.
• Lead design teams and act as Technical Lead on key projects.
• Oversee stakeholder engagement and design risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with CDM and quality standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

What you bring to the role:

• Strong design leadership in water infrastructure.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design, hydraulics, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience managing technical delivery and working closely with clients and contractors.
• A passion for innovation and delivering sustainable solutions.

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer Status, or approaching chartered status.
• Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.
• Significant experience leading major water and drainage infrastructure engineering projects.
• Flexible to travel to other AECOM and client offices.
