AECOM’s Ports and Maritime team is seeking a Senior Maritime Engineer with a civil and structural engineering background to play a key technical role across multiple UK and international projects.

Location can be based anywhere in the UK.

Job duties include:

• Designing structures in the marine environment (including quay walls, piers, jetties, revetments, breakwaters, fendering, scour protection, linkspan supports and dolphins)
• Planning, preparing, and successfully completing deliverables
• Presenting calculations to a high standard of quality and using computer software such as ROBOT, GRLWEAP, WALLAP, TEDDS, PLAXIS 3D
• Checking and reviewing technical specifications, reports and technical notes to a high standard
• Reviewing and commenting on design, drawings and specification to ensure timely and accurate results
• Mentoring staff to provide support and develop their knowledge
• Assisting in the preparation of tenders (programme, cost estimate, resourcing, write‑up of quality/technical input)
• Supervising the construction of maritime structures
• Applying British Standards, Eurocodes and best practice in the maritime environment
• Delivering projects across a range of cost and complexity

MEng or BEng qualified in civil or structural engineering. Ability to obtain SC security clearance.
