About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a pivotal time for the AP function; we’re actively transforming how we operate through automation, AI and process redesign, and we need someone who can deliver day-to-day excellence while helping drive that change.
You’ll play a key role in keeping AP operations running smoothly in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment while identifying and implementing practical improvements that make the function more efficient and scalable.
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable and already fluent in using AI tools in their daily workflows, not just open to it, but actively doing it.
What you’ll be doing- Processing accounts payable transactions accurately and on time across a multi-entity, multi-currency setup.
- Assisting with month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and reporting.
- Maintaining supplier master data with strong controls, approvals and audit trails in place.
- Working closely with teams like Procurement, Product, Engineering and Commercial to resolve queries and support smooth supplier onboarding.
- Building and refining automated workflows, leveraging AI tools and system capabilities to eliminate manual effort, and identifying process and system enhancements that improve scalability and controls.
- Balancing operational delivery alongside ongoing system, automation and process transformation initiatives, including employee expense process transformation and the introduction of a P2P orchestration layer.
- Adhering to financial controls, audit requirements and policies to safeguard cash and minimise risk.
- Proven AP Professional: you bring solid experience in Accounts Payable or shared services finance, especially in large, fast-moving, multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
- Accuracy First: you have a track record of processing high volumes accurately and on time, with minimal errors and rework.
- Deadline Driven: you’ve supported month‑end close processes across multiple entities and can prioritise ruthlessly when deadlines stack up.
- AI and Tech Curious: you have experience automating repetitive manual work using AI tools such as Workato, Codex, Claude or via machine learning, RPA and similar technologies to improve processes, reduce manual work and solve problems more effectively. Experience with Workday, Kyriba and Auditoria would be beneficial.
- Confident Communicator: you’re used to working across finance, engineering, product and commercial teams and are equally comfortable communicating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Solutions Focused: you don’t just flag issues, you dig into root causes, propose fixes and drive them through to implementation. You’re self‑directed and take full accountability for your output without needing to be chased.
- Adaptable: you thrive in environments where processes are evolving. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, can juggle BAU delivery alongside transformation work, and stay organised when priorities shift.
- Data Literate: you’re advanced in Excel and comfortable working with large data sets, pivot tables and lookups. You use data to diagnose process inefficiencies and inform decisions, not just report numbers.
