Responsible for treatment, discharge and consultation. Services include teaching daily living skills, developing perceptual-motor skills and sensory integrative functioning; developing play skills and prevocational and leisure capacities; designing, fabricating or applying selective orthotic and prosthetic devices or selective adaptive equipment per Occupational Therapist plan of care. Utilizing therapeutic activities to enhance functional performance. Administering these specific modalities per plan of care;
hot/cold water, hot/cold pack, neutral warmth, quick icing, paraffin to the hand. Consulting in the adaption of the environment for the handicapped. Services will be provided individually,in groups or through medical, health, educational and social systems. Maintaining documentation requirements per established guidelines.

Moderate Assistance - Patient performs between 50% to 75% of the physical activity; therapy staff performs between 25%-50% of the task.
Maximal Assistance - Patient can perform 25% or less of the physical activity; therapy staff performs 75% or more.
Total Assistance - Patient can not perform any of the physical activity; therapy staff performs 100% of the task.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- Associates Degree from an approved school in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Current certification iwth the National Board Certificaton of Occupational Therapy
- Current BLS certification.
- Zero or more years experience in the field of Occupational Therapy.

Current license with the KY Board of Occupational Therapy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Performs treatment, supervision and therapy intervention accordance with KY Occupational Therapy Board Regulations.
