About the RolePosition Summary The Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining machinery within the Manifold Production department, including bending machine equipment. This position requires previous machine operation experience and offers the opportunity to expand knowledge of all equipment and machinery used throughout the department. The Operator plays a key role in meeting production, quality, and safety standards.
What You’ll Do- Operate, monitor, and maintain machinery in the Manifold Production department, including bending machine equipment
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the department
- Position parts and monitor machine operations to produce product at established production standards
- Inspect panels and parts to verify specifications and quality standards are met
- Notify appropriate personnel of quality, equipment, or production issues
- Complete production reports and quality documentation accurately and timely
- Use banding equipment and hand jacks to move, store, and organize product and materials properly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through good housekeeping practices
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and work instructions, including the Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and Safety Manual
- Maintain awareness of individual impact on quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance objectives
- Report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service
- High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience working with Manufacturing Machinery required
- Weld inspection experience
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to interface with a diverse workforce
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repetitively unassisted for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges
- Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift
