Production Support

This role supports a manufacturing facility by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment on the production floor. The position focuses on preventing hazards through routine cleaning and sorting of production materials, playing a critical part in plant safety, operational efficiency, and compliance with housekeeping and safety standards. There are multiple openings available on weekday first-shift schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe manufacturing environment in all assigned areas.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping and general janitorial duties on the production floor.
  • Sort and organize production materials to support efficient workflow and reduce clutter.
  • Conduct general labor and general production support tasks as needed to assist plant operations.
  • Identify and report potential fire risks, housekeeping deficiencies, and safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Apply basic principles of combustible dust and fire prevention while performing cleaning and sorting activities.
  • Support quality control by keeping work areas free of debris and contamination that could affect product quality.
  • Follow established workplace safety practices and housekeeping standards at all times.
  • Arrive reliably for scheduled shifts and remain focused on tasks throughout the workday.
  • Collaborate with production and safety teams to ensure compliance with facility cleanliness and safety expectations.
Essential Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
  • Ability to identify potential fire risks and housekeeping deficiencies.
  • Basic understanding of combustible dust and fire prevention principles.

The role is based in a manufacturing facility that is non-temperature controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. Team members work on the production floor performing industrial cleaning, sweeping, sorting, and general labor tasks around machinery and production materials. The environment is active and hands-on, with a focus on safety, housekeeping, and supporting continuous operations during 8-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 3:10 pm Monday through Friday or 10-hour shifts from 7:00 am to 5:10 pm Monday through Thursday.

Appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial, manufacturing setting is expected.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Glasgow, KY.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
