Job Overview
NHC Healthcare Glasgow is looking for excellent Certified Medication Aides to join our nursing team! Must be certifed!
Responsibilities- Deliver routine daily medications to patients as ordered.
- Coordinate with Licensed Nurses to assist with patient care and medications.
- Follow orders in detail on how to manage medications.
- Record medications administered.
- Observe patients and document changes in their condition as well as report changes to the Licensed Nurse.
- Gather samples for analysis as ordered.
- Ensure equipment is routinely inspected and cleaned.
- Uphold all health and safety standards.
- Respond to patient emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems to identify patient needs.
A Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is a certified nursing assistant (CNA) responsible for administering daily medication to patients in a medical facility and assisting with ADLs. The CMA must be a qualified and self‑motivated, detail‑oriented individual with in‑depth knowledge of patient care procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and attentiveness to patients’ conditions are required.
