• Efficiently process customer transactions in the checkout lane using our Point of Sale system while handling various payment methods in accordance with company policy.
• Keep merchandise fresh and appealing by rotating products according to code dating policies and reviewing sell‑by dates.
• Foster a pleasant shopping atmosphere by creating a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about our products, and promoting trust among team members.
• Stay knowledgeable about our product offerings to provide tailored suggestions and assist with customer inquiries.
• Engage and assist customers with a friendly greeting and inform them about current grocery specials.
• Order, label, stock, and maintain inventory of merchandise.
• Report any discrepancies in product ordering, shipping, or pricing to store management.
• Adhere to limits on cash shortages and overages while ensuring compliance with guidelines on restricted sale items.
• Maintain food safety regulations and ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are documented and checked.
• Actively participate in safety programs and recognize and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Perform equipment inspections and notify management of items needing repair.
• Assist customers and team members respectfully, especially those in need.

• Basic math skills for transaction accuracy.
• Ability to complete the cashier training program successfully.
• Strong memory for product recognition and special sale items.
• Effective communication and reading skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Experience in customer service.
• Retail background.
