Sunstates Security is currently hiring Flex Security Officers in the Glasgow, KY area. This position offers a pay rate of $15.50/hr
, paid weekly.

Benefits

All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more worked) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security.

• Previous security, law enforcement, and/or military experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to work various shifts, days, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be flexible and team oriented.
• 1+ years of experience in a customer service role.
• Exceptional report writing skills.
• Must be reliable.

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

The Flex Officer position is crucial to our company’s operational and financial success. The flex officer provides trained, competent support by working shifts which become open due to illness, call-offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This enables Sunstates to provide continual, uninterrupted service to our customers, while also protecting the health and work balance of our personnel.

The Scheduling Parameters and Expectations for a Flex Officer are different from those of a fixed-post employee. As a Flex officer you will:

• Be trained at various posts and facilities based on operational need. A post may not be a permanent assignment.
• Have a schedule that varies based on operational need.
• Be assigned to or offered shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
• Have some shifts scheduled in advance while others may be posted with the new week’s schedule or require short notice.
• Be expected to work any scheduled shift within the described availability and communicate unavailability in advance if needed.

For short-notice call-ins, you are expected to work at least 80% of the shifts for which you are called. Refusing more than 20% of such shifts could negatively impact employment status.
