Role Overview
Working within the Specialist Children’s service in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, this permanent post supports children, young people and their families on the Neurodevelopmental pathway. The role involves assessment, post‑diagnostic intervention, and delivery of uni‑professional added value to children and young people, families, and education partners with neurodevelopmental impact.

Working pattern:
Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00.
Positions: two posts – one full‑time (36 hours) and one part‑time (14.4 hours). The part‑time salary is pro rata.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex clinical caseload, undertaking assessment, formulation and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Develop, implement and evaluate person‑centred care plans in partnership with children, young people and their families.
- Work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency team to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to patients, carers, education staff and partner agencies.
- Coordinate care and interventions across services, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care.
- Supervise, support and develop junior staff and healthcare support workers, contributing to learning and service development.
- Contribute to service improvement, clinical governance, audit and quality assurance activities to enhance patient outcomes.
Professional registration with HCPC/NMC or relevant professional body.
Relevant experience in neurodevelopment assessment, diagnosis and support strategies.
Evidence of transferable skills to children and young people with neurodevelopmental impact.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, young people, families and partner agencies.
Demonstrated ability to work within multi‑disciplinary teams and understand the impact of integrated care and services.
Organised, motivated and enthusiastic about joining a developing service.
