• Drive the company’s vehicles in a safe, legal and professional manner.
• Always display the correct destination on the vehicle’s destination blind.
• Keep up to date with road closures, diversions or special events that may affect bus services by reading notices, attending briefings and listening to the on‑bus radio.
• Provide a high standard of customer service.
• Give customers information that may help them during their journey.
• Behave in a friendly and professional manner to customers and colleagues.
• Recognise and assist with the additional needs of children and vulnerable adults, the elderly, infirm or people with disabilities.
• Check the condition of the vehicle prior to commencing service and carry out the safety walk‑round check, ensuring any defect is reported promptly.

• A valid UK Class D PCV driving licence.
• A CPC qualification.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Experience as a PCV bus driver.
• Strong communication skills at all levels.
