CDL A Driver

Responsible for safely and efficiently operating a tractor‑trailer or box truck to deliver finished product to customers in accordance with state and federal laws.

Sunday – Thursday, 10 pm – 6 am. Starting at $25 per hour.

• Complies with driver responsibilities as outlined in the company DAART program and as required by DOT.
• Maintains vehicle in accordance with Elkhart Transportation management policy.
• Operates vehicle safely and efficiently in compliance with company policy, procedures and applicable state and federal laws.
• Supports on‑time delivery by transporting loads by established route to proper destination as efficiently as possible while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Inspects trailer loads to ensure proper loading processes and verifies it is the correct load before leaving the facility.
• Verifies product count while the truck is being loaded.
• Obtains correct acknowledgement or signature and date for the bill of lading and necessary signatures and returns duly completed documentation to the Transportation Manager.
• Complies with performance measures.
• Duties may vary depending on location.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

CDL A License

• Prior experience driving large vehicles, such as a box truck or similar.
• Demonstrated experience practicing safe driving practices.
• Previous experience delivering and handling freight (preferred).
