Overview

GCIL.DK/EM/1.25 Personal Assistant Required. Part Time 2-3hrs. Tim is a young adult who enjoys an active lifestyle. He is friendly, enjoys meeting people and being out and about, and has a mischievous nature with an interest in practical jokes. His hobbies include the gym, swimming, bowling, computer games and music. Some activities are planned, others are chosen day by day. At night he is supported to attend to personal hygiene and relaxes in the evening.

Tim benefits from a structured day and consistent support from familiar people. He lives in a large busy family with other siblings with disabilities, so any new carer would need to be understanding of this."

• Provide support to Tim to travel and participate in activities independently while helping him stay safe.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including toileting as needed.
• Assist Tim in communicating with unfamiliar people due to his communication needs.
• Support Tim in managing emotions when he feels overwhelmed.

• Experience is a bonus, but not essential.
• Tim values someone who shares similar hobbies, is active, flexible, has a good sense of humour, and is calm and compassionate.

Location:

East Dunbartonshire, G66. You will need to travel to and from the area reliably.

Hours:

2-3 hours per week, with potential overtime. Pay: £14.50 per hour.
