About the Hotel
The Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel is a 4-star hotel and conference centre comprising 170 bedrooms and 16 conference spaces. It is Scotland’s leading residential conference venue, an accredited Venue of Excellence and a member of the International Association of Conference Centres.
PositionWe are looking for a friendly and welcoming Hotel Front Office Host to join our team. Based at reception, you will support the hotel in all aspects of reception and reservations duties while ensuring excellent guest service at all times.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the first point of contact for guests, patients, delegates and visitors, you will provide the warmest of welcomes to the Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel. You will advise guests on hotel facilities and services while ensuring an efficient and smooth operational service at the reception desk.
Daily tasks will include:
- Reservation checks
- Processing payments
- Checking in / Checking out
- Answering calls
- Actioning guest requests
- Communicating with all departments
- Upselling upgrades and extras
Individual, company and group reservations are an important part of the department and you will process reservations from a variety of sources including telephone, email, OTAs and our own website, ensuring all guest information is captured accurately.
RequirementsThe role requires the ability to be flexible, good organisational and communication skills, and excellent problem‑solving skills.
A proven track record of working in a busy environment where changes and competing priorities are a daily challenge is essential.
Working HoursThis post will involve working across 7 days and will include evenings, weekends and occasional night working. Flexible working options may be considered.
