Job PurposeThe Group Restaurant & Bar Trainer is responsible for delivering training and development programmes across all venues. The role focuses on improving team performance, enhancing guest experiences, maintaining brand standards, and supporting operational excellence. Working closely with management teams, the Trainer will identify training needs, support onboarding, and drive continuous development.
Key Responsibilities Training & Development- Deliver training programmes for restaurant, bar, front-of-house and supervisory teams.
- Lead onboarding and induction training.
- Create and maintain training materials and resources.
- Develop service, product knowledge and customer engagement skills.
- Promote consistent service standards across all venues.
- Conduct site visits to assess performance and identify development needs.
- Support managers with operational improvements and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Coach supervisors, assistant managers and management teams.
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
- Monitor training effectiveness and provide coaching where required.
- Produce training reports and recommendations.
- Deliver training relating to food safety, licensing, allergens, health and safety.
- Maintain training records and support compliance audits.
- Minimum three years' experience in hospitality training, restaurant management or bar management.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality operations and service standards.
- Excellent communication, presentation and coaching skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to motivate and influence teams.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Training, teaching or hospitality qualification.
- Personal Licence Holder.
- Food Safety and Health & Safety qualifications.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems.
- WSET, coffee, cocktail or other hospitality-related certifications.
