Environmental​/Ecological Clerk of Works; Contractor

Overview

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) is seeking a skilled Environmental Clerk of Works (EnvCoW) and/or Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) to support our expanding portfolio of major infrastructure and renewable energy projects across Scotland. The role is field‑facing, with regular travel including to sites in the Highlands, and focuses on delivering high‑quality environmental oversight.

• An environmental-based qualification (e.g., ecology, environmental science, environmental management)
• Proven experience on large-scale construction projects, ideally within the renewables sector
• Strong working knowledge of Scottish and UK environmental legislation, permitting, and consenting requirements
• Confidence in providing on-site environmental monitoring, advice, and compliance support
• Willingness to travel regularly, including to remote Highland locations
