Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site Air Conditioning Engineer role based in the Greater Glasgow Area. The Air Conditioning Engineer will install, commission, service, and repair air conditioning and HVAC systems across commercial and residential sites. Daily tasks include diagnosing faults, performing planned and reactive maintenance, optimizing system performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and health and safety standards. The role involves preparing job reports, maintaining accurate service records, and communicating clearly with clients and colleagues on work status and technical issues.

The engineer will also support general mechanical services work as needed and collaborate with the wider team to deliver high‑quality building services solutions.

Qualifications
  • Strong HVAC and air conditioning skills, including installation, commissioning, maintenance, and fault‑finding on split, multi‑split, VRV/VRF, and related systems.
  • Experience in building services and building maintenance environments, with an understanding of mechanical and associated electrical interfaces.
  • Background in facility management (FM) or service contracting, with the ability to manage planned and reactive maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in maintenance and repair practices, including use of tools, test equipment, and safe working procedures.
  • Recognized qualification in air conditioning/HVAC or mechanical engineering (e.g., NVQ/SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including F‑Gas certification or eligibility to obtain it.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the Greater Glasgow Area and surrounding locations as required.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and maintain accurate documentation.
