Salary & Contract

Salary: £42,500 per annum, can increase with travel time payments and overtime when available.

Contract: Full time, Permanent.

Hours: 40 hour working week; shift patterns variable and flexible to meet client needs and provide work‑life balance.

Location: Scotland (predominantly the Central Belt).

Comply2 was founded in 2006 by Kay and Allan Crockett to provide electrical testing services to a range of commercial clients. Since then, the company, which adopted its new name in late 2017, has seen consistent growth. It now works with businesses and institutions across Scotland. Sectors covered include hospitality, education, retail and healthcare.

As an Inspection & Testing Electrician, you will use your core skills in hand tools, power tools, and electrical experience to perform a variety of electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. Your expertise is essential in ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical systems in commercial settings. Possessing a valid driving licence is crucial for this role, as you may be required to travel to different job sites.

• Carry out tests of all electrical services and systems to determine the integrity and functionality of cables, accessories and disconnection devices.
• Inspect materials, products and work in progress for conformance to specifications, and adjust process or assembly equipment to meet standards.
• Liaise with customers regarding test results, recommend corrective procedures and compile report of results, schedule of items tested and inspected and a list of defects or deviations from the British Standard which will require attention.
• Complete any repairs required to bring an electrical installation to a satisfactory condition.
• Carry out thermal imaging.
• Carry out emergency light testing for a variety of customers throughout the UK.
• Complete risk assessments as required.
• Ensure all documents are completed as required.
• Provide excellent levels of customer service.

• 5 years of electrical experience.
• 1 year of electrical testing experience.

• City & Guilds 18th Edition Electrician.
• City & Guilds 2391 Qualified or equivalent (essential).
• Experience in testing and inspection work (ideally commercial).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
