About the role
Are you ready to use your electrical expertise to keep the Island’s most important public buildings running safely and reliably?
As an Electrician in our Facilities Management team, you’ll work across schools, hospitals, sports facilities, justice buildings and community spaces.
You’ll diagnose and repair electrical faults, carry out installations to IEE Regulations, support systems such as fire alarms, access control, intruder alarms and building management systems, and complete essential safety documentation. You’ll also join an on call rota and respond to emergency or out of hours needs.
This role gives you the chance to use your skills in an environment full of variety, challenge and hands on technical work. You’ll work with different systems and equipment that keep your expertise sharp, while enjoying the independence to manage your own tasks within a supportive, multi-skilled team. It’s a role where your experience has real impact and where your work directly supports essential public services across the Island.

Upon reaching the top of your pay band, you may be eligible to receive an additional payment on top of your salary. This is paid to employees to reflect additional skills, qualifications and responsibilities developed within the role. Those qualifying for the 4% rating are classed as the standard trade i.e. ‘Electrician’. Those qualifying for the 12% rating are classed as ‘Approved Electrician’.
A basic police check is required for this post, the cost of which will be covered by the Isle of Man Government.
Please note a relocation package is not available for this role.
