, we provide planned and reactive building services maintenance for commercial clients across a wide range of sectors. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Mobile Commercial Gas Heating Engineer to join our expanding engineering team.

The roleYou will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas systems across a varied portfolio of customer sites. You will work independently while delivering the high standards of workmanship and customer service that Oakland Group is known for.
While the role is primarily focused on service and maintenance, experience with commercial gas installations would be an advantage.
The position includes occasional travel and pre-planned overnight stays when required.
What you’ll need- CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety
- CPA1 – Combustion Performance Analysis
- CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers & Water Heaters
- CORT1 – Overhead Radiant Heaters
- CIGA1 – Indirect Fired Commercial Appliances
- CDGA1 – Direct Fired Commercial Appliances
You will also have:
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial gas systems
- Excellent fault‑finding and diagnostic skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Industry‑competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
- Overtime paid for all hours worked outside contracted hours
- Company van with personal use permitted
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Participation in an on‑call rota with minimal gas call‑out requirements, as air conditioning engineers provide first response wherever possible
- £20 overnight allowance for planned stays
- Ongoing training and support to gain additional qualifications and expand your accreditations
