Position: Depot Based Engineer

About Your Role

If you are a skilled, hands on, experienced generator Engineer with an eye for detail who is looking for a new challenge and the chance to make a real impact, this role is for you! With your strong communication skills and proactive approach, we are looking for you to join our fantastic team at CES Power. You will be the go‑to expert for maintaining, servicing, and repairing generators, tanks cables, BSU, and distribution boards at our depot in Glasgow, bringing a mix of troubleshooting, problem solving, and travel.

What you’ll be doing
  • You will undertake maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a range of generators, tanks cables, BSU, and distribution boards at our depot in Glasgow to ensure performance and reliability.
  • You will diagnose and troubleshoot faults, providing solutions to minimise downtime or escalates to the Technical Team for additional support if needed.
  • Safely travel to customer sites and carry out planned and reactive work, delivering great customer service and support, whatever the event.
  • You will prioritise your workload, ensure you have the right tools for the job, and maximise first‑time fixes, every time.
  • Rapidly deploy road‑tow generators to customer sites and install them when required.
What you’ll bring
  • You will bring your proactive and problem‑solving abilities, ready to take on any challenge.
  • NVQ L3 or City and Guilds equivalent electrical and/or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in power engineering or a similar industry.
  • You will have your own tools.
  • A driver’s licence is required.
