Role DescriptionThe Agriculture Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Glasgow. This role focuses on supporting agricultural projects by assessing field conditions, advising on crop and soil management, and coordinating with construction teams to ensure agricultural requirements are integrated into project plans. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring agricultural production activities, collecting and analyzing field data, preparing reports and recommendations, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders.
The Agriculture Specialist will also assist in developing practical solutions to improve yields, resource efficiency, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Collaboration with sales, project, and operations teams is expected to align agricultural needs with business objectives.
- Candidates should possess skills in Agriculture and Agricultural Production, with experience in fieldwork or farm operations.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to work effectively with clients, field crews, and cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to evaluate field data, interpret results, and make informed recommendations.
- Candidates should possess Sales-related skills to support project proposals, client discussions, and solution presentations when needed.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field are beneficial.
- Experience working in construction or infrastructure projects related to agriculture is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and report writing, with attention to detail and organization.
