Towbar Technician

Our client, a reputable employer within the automotive industry, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join their team. This vacancy is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in repairing products and wiring, seeking a stable role with excellent benefits.

• Basic salary of up to £34,000 depending on experience
• OTE (On Target Earnings) approximately £40,720
• 33 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays
• Working hours of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Product-specific training provided for successful candidates

• Fit and wire towbars to customer vehicles, ensuring all marks and scratches are documented beforehand
• Handle customer property with respect and care
• Complete towbar fitting, trailer services, and repairs within acceptable time frames and quality standards
• Securely park vehicles and trailers awaiting workshop attention in designated areas
• Immediately report any vehicle damage or issues to the Branch Manager or Assistant Manager
• Service and repair the company's fleet of hire trailers, maintaining detailed servicing records
• Assemble and modify trailers as necessary
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting faults promptly
• May be required to visit customer premises for repairs or fitting
• Operate and possibly be trained in the use of a Fork Lift Truck

• Practical experience in repairing products and wiring in any industry
• Experience with servicing flatbed trailers, horseboxes, or similar products
• Proven ability to fit and wire towbars
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Ability to diagnose faults and provide technical advice
• Willingness to travel to customer locations for repairs or fittings
• Training to operate a Fork Lift Truck as required
