PSV Technician Glasgow
£21.00 per hour
4 on / 4 off.

Hours:

2 x (6:00am-6:00pm), followed by 2 x nights (6:00pm-6:00am)

  • 28 days holiday INC bank hols.
The Opportunity

A well-established and highly regarded coach and passenger transport business is looking for experienced PSV Technicians to join its busy workshop team at their depot.

Working on a modern fleet of coaches and passenger vehicles, you will play a key role in keeping the fleet safe, reliable and operational. The workshop operates 24/7, with the 4-on-4-off shift pattern providing an excellent balance between work and time off.

Technicians from PSV, HGV, LGV or Light Commercial Vehicle backgrounds will all be considered, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced vehicle technician looking to develop their career within the PSV sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance across the fleet.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Complete general maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
  • Carry out inspections and MOT preparation.
  • Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in line with safety and compliance requirements.
  • Respond to vehicle defects and ensure repairs are completed efficiently.
  • Work as part of a professional workshop team to maintain fleet availability.
About You

You will ideally have:

  • Experience as a PSV, HGV, LGV or Light Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • A minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
  • Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Experience preparing vehicles for MOT/annual testing.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong focus on safety, quality and getting the job done right.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
