We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Groundworker. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our civil engineering operations and ensuring that our infrastructure projects are delivered efficiently. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to quality and safety.
Duties- Assist with groundwork, precasting concrete, trenching, and site preparation
- Liaise with Site Manager, Site Supervisor, and clients as needed
- Supervise work squads and report defects, snags, or health & safety issues
- Operate site plant equipment (e.g. telehandler, dumper, mini excavator)
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, permits, and company procedures
- Interpret drawings and RAMS accurately
- Maintain company standards in all work performed
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organisational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in using standard office software applications
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills or technologies
- Relevant CSCS card and plant operation tickets (e.g. excavator, dumper, roller)
- Knowledge of fencing types, electrical fencing, and access control systems
- Clean driving licence
- Health & Safety compliance
- Experience in civil engineering or infrastructure installation
- Valid CSCS card
- Relevant plant operation tickets (e.g. excavator, dumper, roller, banksman, slinger/signaller, abrasive wheels, face fit)
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in civil engineering or infrastructure installation
- Ability to operate site plant equipment (e.g. telehandler, dumper, mini excavator)
- Knowledge of fencing types, electrical fencing systems, and access control systems
- Ability to interpret drawings and RAMS
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Commitment to Health & Safety compliance
- Willingness to travel along the central belt.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies
- Participation in company training and adherence to policies
- Ability to pass screening checks (5-year work history, basic disclosure, financial check, drug & alcohol test)
