£34,811 pa with the addition of a temporary Market Forces Supplement of £2,142 (This supplement is awarded in recognition of current market conditions and is subject to review)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for four Plumbers to join our Property Services Team.

We are looking for motivated, skilled and customer-focused Plumbers who share our commitment to delivering high standards of workmanship and service excellence.

As a Plumber, you will play a key role in delivering a wide range of plumbing works across occupied and vacant properties, as well as supporting projects within both domestic and commercial settings throughout South Tyneside.

• Carrying out 1st fix and 2nd fix work following detailed plans and technical drawings.
• Completing replacement, refurbishment and maintenance works within social housing properties and commercial buildings.
• Working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team to meet service targets and customer expectations.
• Prioritising workloads effectively to ensure repairs and projects are completed safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
• Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety requirements, policies and procedures.
• Maintaining excellent standards of customer care when working within residents' homes and communities.
• Ensuring that the job is completed in the time frame and to customers satisfaction.
• Regularly working at height, both indoors and outdoors.
• Supervising Apprentices, work experience and other young people in a construction environment and in our customers homes. Demonstrating the correct completion of plumbing tasks, and excellent level of customer care.
• Understanding the basics of computers and other hand-held devices.
• Ensuring the site is safe for public and employees.
• Using tools associated with the work including portable power tools.
