Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for inventory accounting, cost analysis, and supporting month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have strong inventory experience in a manufacturing environment and a solid understanding of standard costing and inventory controls.

• Maintain and analyze inventory balances, reserves, and reconciliations
• Perform monthly inventory roll forwards and account reconciliations
• Analyze inventory variances, including purchase price, labor, and manufacturing variances
• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries and financial analyses
• Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory accuracy and processes
• Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle counts
• Review and maintain standard costs and support cost updates
• Prepare reports related to inventory valuation, gross margins, and product costing
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Support audits by providing inventory and cost accounting documentation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fiel
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distributio
• Strong inventory accounting experience require
• Experience with standard costing and variance analysi
• Advanced Excel skill
• ERP experience such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, JD Edwards, or Microsoft Dynamics preferre
• CPA or CMA is a plu

• Experience working in manufacturing, consumer products, life sciences, or distribution environmen
• Hands-on experience with inventory management and physical inventory process
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and process improve men
• Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and finance tea
