Rowan University is a Carnegie-classified Doctoral University (Moderate Research Activity) with approximately 19,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20 miles southeast of Philadelphia, with additional campuses in Camden and Stratford.

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is searching for adjunct faculty who have an interest and expertise in teaching lower and upper division chemistry courses. Please see the department website ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) for more information.

Qualifications:

The candidate should possess master's degree in any sub-discipline of Chemistry (including physical, inorganic, organic, analytical, or biochemistry) or relevant field. Preference will be given to applicants with previous teaching experience, and favorable recommendations from references.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $1,975 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
