Starting Date: September 1, 2026

Teach courses in technical and professional writing, including Introduction to Technical Writing, Writing for the Workplace, Writing for Nonprofits, Editing for Publication, and other courses determined by the department.

A master’s degree is required in an appropriate field such as Composition/Rhetoric, Communication Studies, Business Administration, Strategic Communication, or Human Factors. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience teaching technical writing or professional writing, favorable recommendations from references, and favorable previous student evaluations. Experience or expertise in usability, user experience, and/or accessible design is particularly desired.

Note: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act
, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.

All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations.
