Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in first‑year writing, and possibly courses in technical and professional writing.
Qualifications:
- A master’s degree required in Composition/Rhetoric or a related field such as English, Creative Writing, Literacy Studies, or Urban Education.
- Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience teaching college writing or professional writing, favorable recommendations from references, and favorable previous student evaluations.
- Spanish oral fluency and experience working with developmental writers are particularly desired.

Note: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position.
In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as‑needed basis.
