The Department of Physics & Astronomy is seeking qualified part‑time temporary faculty to teach introductory Physics and Astronomy courses at Rowan University. Most opportunities are in the area of introductory laboratory teaching assignments, though assignments in introductory lecture sections are possible. Occasional opportunities for teaching advanced and selected topic courses are available.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory physics and astronomy courses, including laboratory and lecture sections.
- A minimum of a master's degree (or equivalent) in physics or a related field.
- Preference given to applicants with previous teaching experience and strong references.
- Cover letter, CV, and names/contact information of at least two references.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Adjuncts receive a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses are assigned by College & Department on an as‑needed basis.
