The Department of Political Science and Economics at Rowan University seeks to build a general talent pool for adjunct positions as they become available. Candidates will be offered a minimum of one and a maximum of two courses per semester, typically introductory or lower‑division courses such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, or American Government.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses, preparing instructional materials, conducting lectures, facilitating discussions, and grading assignments in accordance with departmental standards.
- Attend faculty meetings and professional development activities as required.
- Master’s degree in Political Science, Economics, or a closely related field is required.
- Teaching experience is required.
- Eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship will be provided.
Adjuncts are paid a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits per academic year.
