The Department of Geography, Planning, and Sustainability seeks dedicated adjunct instructors in Geographic Information Science (GIS), Remote Sensing, Web-based Mapping, and Cartography. The department also welcomes special topics proposed by adjuncts.
Course sizes are small and are often offered in the evenings, with additional scheduling options available based on the Chair’s discretion.
Responsibilities- Teach assigned courses in GIS, Remote Sensing, Web-based Mapping, or Cartography.
- Adopt teaching methods that engage a committed student body.
- Collaborate with department faculty on course content and assessment.
- Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent teaching experience.
- Eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.
- Experience in teaching or related professional practice is desired.
- Minimum rate of $1,975 per credit, with a maximum load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits per academic year.
- Benefits as provided for adjunct faculty (subject to class and union status).
