The Department of Biological & Biomedical Sciences (BBS) seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses for both majors and non‑majors, including anatomy & physiology, genetics, cell biology, ecology, microbiology, and general biology for non‑science majors. Teaching appointments will be for the Fall 2025 and/or Spring 2026 semesters.
Qualifications- Master’s degree required in a subdiscipline of biology or a related field of science.
- Preference for applicants with prior teaching experience, experience with learning management systems (Canvas), favorable professional references, and positive teaching evaluations.
Fall 2026:

Spring 2027:
January 2027

Additional InformationAll positions are contingent upon budget appropriations. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; the university will not sponsor visas.
Pay TransparencyAdjuncts are paid a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits per academic year.
