The Department of Geography, Planning, and Sustainability is seeking dedicated adjunct instructors in Urban and Regional Planning, Food Systems Planning, Historic Preservation, and Transportation Policy and Planning. The department is open to special topics proposed by adjuncts as well.
Course sizes are relatively small and the students are committed and engaged. Courses are frequently offered in the evenings, though other scheduling options are available in consultation with the Chair.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a master’s degree in the field in which they are teaching. Work experience in teaching may substitute for a master’s degree, however a master’s degree is required. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position.
Pay: Adjuncts are provided a minimum of $1,975 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors on an as-needed basis.
All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations.
