The Department of Philosophy and World Religions seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach a range of world religions courses, including: World Religions (introductory survey), Intro to the Bible, Spirituality and Healing, Spirituality and Nature, and Religion in America. Courses may be offered online, but in‑person instruction is preferred.

• Develop and deliver engaging course materials for assigned courses.
• Assess and provide constructive feedback on student performance.
• Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
• Participate in department meetings and professional development sessions as required.

• Minimum Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Strongly preferred: previous university‑level teaching experience.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the university will not sponsor a work visa.

As required by the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act, Rowan University provides a minimum of $2,225 (after 9/1/2026) per credit for all courses taught. Maximum teaching load is 8 credits per semester and 12 credits per academic year. Courses will be assigned by the College of Department on an as‑needed basis.
