The Department of Philosophy and World Religions seeks qualified adjunct faculty for various philosophy classes, including:

• Logic of Everyday Reasoning (informal logic)
• Philosophical Perspectives on Science (a general education philosophy of science course for non‑majors)
• Intro to Philosophy
• Intro to Ethics
• Social & Political Philosophy
• Intro to Symbolic Logic

Some of these courses are offered online, but candidates who can teach in person are preferred.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in philosophy (or a closely related field). Previous college‑level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Applications submitted through this process will be screened on a rolling basis, as the need for new instructors arises. Applications will be retained for possible future semesters of employment.

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act
, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as‑needed basis.
