The College of Education at Rowan University is seeking qualified adjuncts in Health and Physical Education to teach a broad range of courses and supervise teacher candidates.

• Teach online, face‑to‑face, or hybrid courses.
• Supervise teacher candidates.
• Demonstrate a constructivist-based theoretical framework centered on a philosophy grounded in social justice.

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Health and Physical Education or related field.
• Meet state licensure requirements for teachers.
• Minimum of 3 years successful teaching in P‑12 settings.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to fostering academic achievement, social and personal responsibility, and social justice.
• Commitment to collaboration, collegiality, professional development, diversity, scholarly inquiry, student learning, civic responsibility, and respect for all people.
• Experience working with P‑12 schools.
• Teaching/learning philosophy aligned with the mission of the College of Education.

• Experience with the Danielson Framework.
• Experience with performance assessment measures.
• Experience teaching in post‑secondary settings.
• Experience teaching content in areas such as technology in health and physical education, fitness, adapted physical education, secondary/elementary curriculum and instruction, motor development.

Adjuncts receive a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits per academic year.
