The Africana Studies program at Rowan University seeks a qualified adjunct to teach an undergraduate course entitled Introduction to Africana Studies. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in the humanities, preferably with a major or minor in Africana Studies or Black Studies, and will be required to teach the course from a global Black perspective.
Responsibilities:
- Teach the undergraduate course “Introduction to Africana Studies” from a global Black perspective.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Africana Studies or Black Studies or a closely related field.
- Eligible to work in the United States; the University will not sponsor a visa for this position.
Compensation: Adjuncts receive a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
