Job Description:
The Store Specialist role supports a positive customer experience, handles customer service, processes POS transactions, and ensures smooth operation and merchandising in assigned areas while adhering to company policies and merchandising guidelines. The role also provides oversight of assigned associates and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming environment
- Assist customers with inquiries, locate items, complete purchases, and perform advanced POS functions
- Promote company-wide initiatives (donations, loyalty programs, promotions)
- Maintain displays, restock areas, and merchandise new items per guidelines
- Train and coordinate assigned associates, manage breaks per policy
- Communicate issues and improvement opportunities to store leadership
- Maintain a safe and organized environment for customers and associates
- Handle damages and returns according to procedures
Qualifications:
- Prior retail merchandising, customer service, or cashier experience preferred
- Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, good verbal and written communication
- Full-time availability including nights and weekends
- Must be 18 years of age or older
Work Environment:
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with physical tasks; ability to move, stand, and lift
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly
- Overnight and weekend assignments may be required
